From Ring to Reception

Some of you may have heard, but our little fam is headed to Georgia this summer! My husband accepted a promotion with his current company & it includes relocating to the ATL area.

We’ve known about this for a bit & I’ve had to say no to several potential clients, which makes me so sad. 😭 May 20th was my last official wedding in CA & I’m definitely still in denial about this whole process.

I’m not sure if/when I’ll continue FRTR wedding planning & production, but I do know I’m forever grateful for the amazing couples & families I’ve had the privilege of working with over the last 18+ years (the last 12 in the Central Valley).

The vendors here are AMAZING & if you’re planning a wedding or event, please still reach out if you need referrals!

And if you think of us, please pray for a smooth transition! ☺️ Cheers to a new adventure! 🎉

Hi guys! 👋🏼 You may not recognize me without my clipboard in hand. 🤣 Taking a minute on this busy day before Thanksgiving to say I’m SO grateful I get invited into such special moments in people’s lives. I LOVE sentimentality…the ring John got for Lindsey is gorgeous & the story behind it is even better! {text from their wedding website}

“It all started with the ring, which was specially made for Lindsey. It is a padparascha sapphire as a sapphire is her birthstone and orange her favourite colour. These can only be found in Madagascar and Sri Lanka, which is where John was born. The stone is 2.6 carats, which was how long they were dating in years before he proposed. John's mum was instrumental in sourcing the jeweller and had the responsibility of flying the ring back to Australia.”

This one was worth waiting {3+ years!} for! Lindsey + John were the sweetest to work with...they live in beautiful Australia so it was definitely my most remote clients to date. Multiple postponements but they did it!

Sharing with a heavy heart...my dear friend Melanie Flietstra Haugh lost her amazing husband Greg Haugh this last week. I was honored to be a part of their wedding almost 7 years ago. We are grieving with her but rejoicing that he is free from pain and with his Creator.

I’ve had some time off with my little family this summer & it’s been so great! We took the older boys to Mexico & this is the only family photo we got. 🤣 Our oldest starts kinder in two days & I’m 😥🥹🙌🏼😍🤪 about it!!

And of course gearing up for Fall Wedding Season, which for me starts Sept 3! We all know it’s already been in full swing but it’ll be fun to get back to event days. You can look forward to amazing venues + vendor teams for some beautiful couples!
