Marriage is such a beautiful thing. I absolutely love celebrating the start of a couples lives together, and the fact that they’ve chose each other to spend forever with.

On the days where I actually have time to sit and listen to a ceremony, I love listening to the words being spoken and it just brings me back to my own vows. In good times and bad. In sickness and health. For better or worse. Until death do us part. Those are powerful words and something that I am truly so thankful to be a small part of. The best day of a couples new life together, what a sweet thing!

The best marriage advice I’ve ever received…don’t get upset up over the small stuff. Dishes left out, laundry on the floor, the yard not done. Will those things drive you crazy some days? Yes. But you married an imperfect human and spouses aren’t mind readers, so something that drives you crazy might not even phase them. Let them know those things bother you and work towards working on that together. You have a lifetime together. A LIFETIME. But also, maybe that lifetime is shorter than you ever imagined.

In our marriage we are faced with the “what if” scenario a lot more often than most people, and I wholeheartedly believe that it has shaped my viewpoint on life and marriage for the better. I think about it every day. What if he doesn’t come home. But in all actuality, that can happen to anyone, at any time.

So why would I waste my days being upset over things that are so small and insignificant. It still happens, it’s hard to be selfless and marriage is absolutely a give and take. But the goal is to try and shift your perspective. At the end of the day, chose your person and show them that you’re in it for the long haul. And , I hope you always love me, even when I leave the truck a mess 🙈😉😘

The smaller weddings have really stolen my heart this year. I am so used to the large guest counts and full scale events, that it’s been fun having these little weddings sprinkled in. There’s an intimate feeling that you don’t get when the guest count is higher. Don’t get me wrong, I love the adrenaline rush of a 400 person wedding (like the one I’m prepping for next weekend), but the whole atmosphere of a small gathering is completely different and so sweet in its own very unique way.

I will always make time in the schedule for sunset photos. I don’t love when photographers leave for a long time without me knowing where they’ve gone and how for long though. So make sure to snag someone who can get you this 👆🏻 within a reasonable timeframe. Like my girl . Because yes, you need these photos, but we also have to get you back to your party!
