We’re lucky to work and collaborate with other great folks in the Milwaukee and greater Wisconsin community! While we eagerly await our first local spring crops (here’s looking at you, haikuri turnips!), we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention our friends at Al-Asalah Bakery and Market and The Deliciouser!! We serve pita from this gem of a market on W. Layton Avenue and make the magic happen with blends and single origin spices from Patrick and the crew in Madison. Food is love, everybody. Let’s build longer tables, always. 🧿🪬

🌿 new wine alert! available by the glass!!
meet Ikons — a white wine from Voštinić–Klasnić in Moslavina, Croatia, and one of our favorite pours this spring.

it’s a 50/50 blend of two grapes nearly exclusive to this little corner of central Croatia: Škrlet and Graševina. Škrlet brings the aromatics and lift, Graševina adds depth and stone fruit — together they taste like apricot, lemon zest, white peach, with a little herbal note in the finish. bright, soft, effortlessly easy to drink.

the story behind it is one we love: Tomislav Bolfan’s great-grandfather planted some of the first Škrlet vines here back in 1936. the grape nearly went extinct, and this family helped bring it back. Ikons is his tribute to his grandfather’s wisdom — that the everyday wine of Moslavina was always this blend, the two iconic grapes of the place, together.

farmed organically, hand-harvested at dawn, native yeast fermentation. nothing in the way of the fruit and the place.

it is spring in a glass — and it is made for our mezze. the brightness cuts right through creamy hummus and labneh, lifts the herbs in our salads, and sings alongside anything with a little spice or char. come try it. 🌸
