Three years ago, Tropical Storm Ophelia rolled into Virginia Beach just in time for McKayla + Phil’s wedding weekend. The winds picked up, the rain came down, their ceremony moved indoors, and the Lesner team pivoted right alongside them.
But none of it could take away from what they were there to celebrate.
They married their best friend, danced the night away, and walked away with a wedding day that was beautiful in ways no forecast could have predicted.
Three years later, McKayla shared the sweetest reflection on their wedding day, and we couldn’t help but revisit it too. Because sometimes the moments that don’t go according to plan become part of what makes the story so special.
