Foodies - The Local's Market Our marketplace features prepared meals, artisan sandwiches, local goods, and corporate catering.

After working side by side for years with their respective catering and gourmet meal-delivery businesses in Virginia Beach, Catherine Gettier and Patrick McBrayer learned that they share the same passion for food, friends, and family. It was then they decided to create a local market to share their culinary experiences with fellow VB ‘foodies’. We offer gourmet artisan sandwiches, prepared meals,

cooking classes, personal chef services, corporate catering, and we feature goods from local companies in our shop.

Have you heard about our Trinity Seasoning? We put this on so many things here at Foodies - from chips to roast beef to chicken and more. Chef Patrick believes in enhancing the flavor of things, and keeping things simple. This does both! Granulated garlic, onions and salt make up this delicious mix. Add wherever you would use salt for an extra oomph!

It's again! We are featuring a member of our community - a if you will - every week!

Today we have Chelsea, who's a newer face in the back but that doesn't mean she hasn't fit right into the family. She's been with us about a month. When she's not slinging sandwiches, she's enjoying chilling at home with her son being a "mostly" stay at home mom.

Her favorite thing to make is a Keller (see our post last week about our delicious roast beef sandwich). BUT if she's making it for herself it's gonna be just toasted sourdough + rare roast beef + American cheese + mayo. She likes the simple things.

You can catch her in the back of the house smiling, prepping, and making your food with love and care.

It's Thanksgiving week and we have SO MUCH to be thankful for! Starting with our awesome vendors who provide a great local shopping experience in our store.

We’re highlighting our local skincare fave, Blue Dragonfly Farm! Local to VB, they specialize in goat milk lotion and soap, but offer a fresh take on self care. The milk comes from their own Nigerian Dwarf goats and is crafted into small-batch lotions, soaps, lip balm, and more! Welcome to , where we highlight a , one of our own family, whether they work here or are regulars, someone we love and who is integral to our community. That's what we want here. We're all about community and building something bigger than any of us.

Today Courtney is our highlight! A new member to the Foodies family, she started working here in October when we changed our hours (did you know we're open at 8 am now?) Courtney works the front counter, providing a smiling face and your morning coffee just the way you like it.

She's an athletic trainer after she leaves our doors, having grown up playing sports and wanting to help people by improving their life and their game. She's passionate about being with friends, family, being outdoors, and the simple things, which is what drew her to Foodies in the first place.

Courtney's been around, picking up her milk from Creambrook for a few years, and forming relationships with everyone here, and she liked what she saw! The community, the energy, the positive changes that spread out with every sandwich and coffee that's made by locals, for locals, with local ingredients.

Come by and say hi to Courtney and the rest of the crew at 8 am Tuesday through Friday! #757
