19 years of Antonia Christianson Events.
I’ve been in this industry my entire life, professionally for 27 years, and for 19 of those I’ve owned my own little piece of the event world. When I opened this company, everything looked different. The trends, the tools, the expectations, even the role I play today. And yet, the heart of the work has never changed.
I still get to create moments. I still get to push envelopes. I still get to bring a little event magic into people’s lives on the daily.
Looking back through the years this morning, I laughed at what was once trend setting and is now delightfully cringe worthy. But every season pushed boundaries, created moments that broke the mold, and challenged what weddings and events were “supposed” to look like. Design evolves. Photography evolves. Color stories change. Storytelling and experience do not.
This little company has taken me all over the globe, into publications I once dreamed of, and into the lives of clients who became collaborators, partners, and lifelong friends.
And somehow, on this exact anniversary, I’m ending the day at dinner with the second employee I ever hired. Someone who still helps on the big ones, was once an ACE client herself, and is now a lifelong friend. We didn’t plan it this way, it just happened. And it feels like the perfect reminder that this journey has always been about people.
I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but leaving the event industry fully will never be in my cards.
Grateful. Grounded. Still obsessed.
