In anticipation of the incoming winter storm, Town of Vinton offices will be closed to the public on Tuesday, 2/11/2025. Also, the offices will have a delayed opening at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, 2/12/2025. Please check our page for updates on office hours.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for our area from 4 a.m. on Tuesday, 2/11/2025, through 4 p.m. Wednesday 2/12/2025. Heavy mixed winter precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 2 to 6 inches and ice accumulations up to one half of an inch are possible. Travel will become hazardous.

While our indoor spaces won’t be available for rentals during this time, we encourage you to check out the Charles R. Hill Community Center—just across the parking lot—for your event needs! We were all geared up for a hurricane, so we decided yesterday to work from home today. But guess what? It's sunny! 😅

There won't be any staff at the Vinton War Memorial today, but if you need to schedule an appointment, give us a call at **540-983-0645**. We'll happily arrange a meeting for another day—hopefully with more accurate weather predictions!

We're thrilled to announce the first-ever comedy show at the Vinton War Memorial, featuring the hilarious Brad Wenzel, with Blaine Hill as the special guest opener! Mark your calendars for September 17th—doors open at 7 PM.
