Little Flower Barn, is a central Michigan wedding/event venue that is on property that has been family-owned for over 100 years. Mike Fiorillo and Sarah Porter have teamed up to create a one of a kind venue, with the original 1910 renovated barn residence/bridal suite with lodging for 17, and a new 5200 sq. ft., 300 person occupancy event barn with a balance of traditional and modern design. The p

ond side ceremony deck, as well as the event barn, are bordered by extensive terraced, fieldstone planting beds with hundreds of plants. The barn was built in 1910 by Ernest and Helen Faling (Mike's great grandparents), the property was inherited by Vern and Choice Foster (Mike's grandparents) in the 1960s and Mike transformed the barn into a three-story home in the 1980s where he raised his three daughters. Mike's oldest daughter and her husband honored the family's heritage and held their wedding on the property August 6, 2016. Please join us for cake and ice cream tonight at Little Flower Barn from 6-8 pm to celebrate the 95th birthday of my mom, the thrill seeker, Justine Fiorillo.

We went up for a small plane ride a few days ago, so I’m feeling she will be even more talkative than normal.😁

Her dad, Ernie, built our farm in the early 1900’s and farmed the land for 60 years.

If you’re close by, we would love for you to stop by, even if just for a few minutes.

Thank you
Mike

“What we did on Winter Vacation.”
By Mike and Sarah

Mike and Robert made a new deck
in 2 weeks between rainstorms in early
April. It turned out really neat.

Sarah made a new kitchen in great grandpa’s 1910 red barn, by assembling knock down cabinets, installing them, then installing butcher block countertops and building cool matching tables.
Mike did demo and drywall stuff.

Back to reality, we simply want to be one of the best value venues in central Michigan, if not the entire state.

Our philosophy of constant improvement, our involvement in your wedding day, unparalleled landscaping,
spectacular pond side amphitheater ceremony garden and eclectic reception barn for 275 make Little Flower Barn the go to venue in central Michigan.

While the concept of a moat around the ceremony deck intrigued my quirky side for 3 seconds, I came to my senses, and took care of it.
With excessive rain and snowmelt recently, our pond is currently about 18” over its normal level.
With another wedding this Friday, I took care of this situation in 6 hours yesterday, by creating a patio stone walkway, and tractoring in 5 yds. of washed stone.
This fix simply expanded the existing stone by spreading new stone around the front and right sides of the deck.

Your wedding has (3) DIY owners/staff on hand to help make your day perfect.

Parking lot upgrades have begun, with this west side fence all framed, and ready to accept wire grid wall, as soon as expert FB marketplace procurer, Sarah, locates some.
This first phase will define the edge of the parking area, as well as funnel foot traffic towards the ceremony area. By spring we will create a north-south landscaped median in the main parking area, to better organize the parking. All of this will allow us to eliminate the dozens of fiberglass driveway markers currently used to organize parking.
Still room for a few more weddings next year, with a handful of Fridays and Saturdays left between May-October, as well 6-8 Sundays.
