Strut Dance Studio Community of Independent Dance Instructors with a mission to help you find confidence in your dance The iconic Ballroom City has now become Strut Dance Studio.

Brittney Valdez, one of Ballroom City's dedicated dancers and instructors, took ownership of the studio in February of 2021. Ballroom City had a 25-year history of providing the Chicagoland area a place to social dance, take dance lessons, and most importantly, make lifelong friendships. The many cherished memories made over that amazing 25-year history provides the foundation for Strut Dance Stud

io. While the studio's name has changed, the mission to provide the dance community with somewhere to call home remains. The multi-talented group of instructors at Strut will continue to share their passion for dance with students, building on the sense of community that came before it.

The new sign is up 👏 🥳

We’re thrilled to announce that Strut’s new studio in Glen Ellyn will be opening early 2026! Construction is well underway at the new spot, and we’re so excited to be building a new home for our Strut dance community!

The shopping center is amazing and located right off Roosevelt Rd. & 355 making access so easy! We’ll give you a tour soon, I promise.

Now it’s time to get to work 🙌 Looking forward to this creative project and cant wait to get back to dancing with everyone in my “home” space! It will take a few months to build out and get set up, so group classes and open dances are still on hold but stay tuned on our progress!!

In the meantime, you can find me (Brittney Valdez) out and about at what feels like…EVERYTHING this September lol 🤗

Official Update!!!

It seems crazy, but our time at 207 S. Villa Ave. is quickly coming to a close! It's been a whirlwind few months but the light at the end of the tunnel is shining brighter by the day 🤩

1. We're nearing our lease completion for the new Glen Ellyn location so make sure your subscribed to our email list & following us on Facebook and Instagram for updates on our progress 🙌

2. Until the new space is up and running, Brittney will be temporarily teaching lessons out of Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center in Glen Ellyn. The facility is beautiful and the manager has been so accommodating. The rental space is a bit smaller than the current studio, it’s got plenty of room for all styles of dance so don’t hesitate to reach out if you are looking for lessons!

In true Strut fashion…we still have lots of dancing to do over this last week, so don’t miss the following opportunities!!

* WCS Champion Bonnie Cannon is in town and available for lessons Thursday and early Friday! Please DM her if you’re interested
* 7 pm - Novice Two Step Class with Julie Hein and Don Leynes

* Strut Open House: Celebrate the Memories - Goodbye 207 S. Villa Ave 💕 - we can't leave without celebrating a combined almost 30 years of great memories within these walls!

* 8 pm - Novice/Intermediate 3 Count Hustle with Elizabeth Gutzwiler-Daigle
