If you got engaged in the past two weeks or so, here’s what I’d tell you.

Enjoy it. Stare at your ring. Go out for drinks and sit at the bar to toast your engagement.

You’re allowed to enjoy being engaged before turning to the logistics. Take a breath before making big decisions. You don’t need to book everything at once to be “on track.”

The strongest wedding plans begin with intention, and the space to enjoy this season.

Selecting your wedding music can be challenging, especially when it comes to choosing the perfect first dance song! 

Start by opting for a song that holds significance for both of you as a couple. Is it a song that was always on the speakers at the college bar where you met? Is it the song that came on when you got engaged? Don’t worry about what the song “should” be - pick something that is meaningful to you! The first dance is such a special moment and this song will be forever yours.

Here are a few of our favorites:

There are three locations on the Mall - the DC War Memorial, the West Lawn of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and the George Mason Memorial, where you can say your vows.

From the start of planning, Katie and Eric, had their hearts set on a particular ambiance for their wedding day. Their shared dream was to create an intimate, cozy atmosphere where they could bask in the company of their nearest and dearest, savoring quality time with each cherished guest.
