Our No-Tap tournament was such a HIT last night that we decided to host another one next week as well!! Last night we had 59 bowlers and paid out 14 spots PLUS 20 handicap brackets & 8 scratch brackets!!

The USBC has canceled all remaining national events for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020-2021 USBC Collegiate season will be postponed until January 2021.

From the desk of Angela Polzin Nance, General Manager: What a week... (LONG, LONG POST, Please read) I have been thinking about what to say so I am just going to start from the beginning: On Wednesday, 7/26/17 we had a really bad storm come through the city of Vestavia. The power cut off 2x at Vestavia Bowl due to the massive thunderstorm so I went to look outside the door beside lane 34 to see if water was starting to rise in the back of the parking lot near the drain. At that point, nothing. All of the lanes rebooted and the customers started bowling again. Literally 5 MINUTES later, Ryan Nance came running into my office and told me that we needed to get people out of the center NOW. I ran to the door again and water was already halfway up the parking lot. I immediately got on the intercom to let customers know they needed to leave immediately. (NOTE: If we tell you it is time to go, you need to listen and move quickly. This is strictly for your safety and our employees safety). As we were getting customers out I finally told all employees to leave and I would close it up. They didn't want to leave me there but I didn't want anyone getting stuck as water was rising SO FAST! One of our mechanics, Greg Jones stayed with me as we got all of our flood doors locked into place and we finally started to try and get out. Ryan Nance came running back after getting my car moved so he could help get me out with his truck. At that point Greg was going to follow us out. We planned to drive around the gameroom but at that point it looked like a waterfall coming around the side of the building. We turned around to drive on the side you see in the pic. We kept pushing forward but had to stop. The road that runs alongside VB was a full blown river. Had we went forward the water would've taken us.
