Thanks so much for stopping by :) ~ My name is Susie and I am a photographer based in Northern NJ. I specialize in shooting weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and family portraits. After spending my summers in Vermont I couldn't wait to get home and develop the rolls of film that were tucked away in the top shelf of my camp trunk. I always remember being in love with nature, the perfect lighting and takin

g pictures. In my teens I loved to capture the way the light shimmered on the lake during a regatta or the way a sunny glow highlighted a proud face that just reached the summit of a mountain. After working with children for 13 years and having 3 of my own, I realized how important it was to capture the precious moments in life. Time was fleeting and the babies that I cared for were growing up so quickly. I always wished i could freeze those babyhood years forever. My camera has allowed me to do just that. After getting my first digital camera, my interest in photography grew~I loved the immediate feedback and really came to understand lighting and composition...that, matched with sweet little faces I was photographing defined the perfect picture. My camera is always with me and there is nothing better than capturing the little things in life ( vibrant flowers at the farmers market, an exhausting day of crabbing in the mud, the joy of a first customer at a lemonade stand, fireworks on the 4th of July, a secret between friends punctuated with a giggle) ...After shooting thousands of images over the last 30 years I decided with much coaxing from friends to venture out and take photos professionally. I love to create my own artwork using the lens to freeze emotions and special moments in time. My dad always told me to do something that i love, something that wouldn't feel like work, well, he was right! I love what i do and I can't wait to take your pictures!!
