It seems our family knows who to call when it comes to invitation design! I’ve lost count of how many we’ve created over the years, but it’s close to a dozen. This summer, we had the joy of designing one for our niece Sydney and (our newest addition to the family), Owen’s wedding in Montana.

When she described the setting—a meadow filled with mountain wildflowers, framed by two peaks and a wooded valley in between—I had no photos to work from, just her words. Still, I tried to capture the scene in our artwork. As we approached print time, she asked to include a small motif on the back—created by a friend in the style of a national park sign—that featured their dog, Bandit. So cute and a perfect addition to the piece!

When we arrived for the wedding and made the half-mile walk to the highland meadow, it was almost exactly as I had imagined it. The mountains, the flowers, the colors—it all came together perfectly. Seeing our design come to life in such a breathtaking setting was incredibly special and a reminder of why we love what we do.

Spent most of the day behind the desk… then looked down and realized: it’s that date again. July 24th. We don’t always stop to celebrate it, but every extra year doing what we love is a gift.

Working with ornament and historical context is one of our hallmarks. Pulling it all together with a copper foil stamp on cotton paper even better.

Sharing a design that we haven’t posted before but hoping to get better pictures of soon. Taking a bit of inspiration from warm hues of green, rust, ivory and browns, this suite features a chalky ivory on green with a full flood floral art piece and copper foil monogram. We added a custom map and floral lined envelope to finish off the look.

Was super excited to pull together a cohesive look for Casey and Daniel’s day just outside of Nashville.

It’s been a hot moment between posts.

This year has been an exceptionally busy one. For many years, we have worked under the radar on “word of mouth” projects in the corporate world.

To kick off 2023, this was one of our smaller projects which included wall graphics and installation for Truity Partners’ brand new, and much larger, office in Madison.

Wall mounts, stand off graphics and specialty coated vinyls were used to provide bare walls with a bit less all there gray.

Today's first phone call was from Lila (and Allen). We initially did their wedding invites, and last helped them in 2015 with creating "boat cards" which are essentially calling cards for marine enthusiasts and boaters.

I always think of them has having the best honeymoon vacation ever. Sounds like they are still travelling.

In 2015, they had a plan to navigate the "Great Loop" which is essentially travel by boat, nearly 6,000 miles, using lakes, rivers, canals, and the ocean, and they did it. To top it off, they have since boated the perimeter of the Great Lakes and most recently decided to take a trip from Maine to Florida to winter it out. Incredible story. Now, we've been asked to create a retirement party invite for Allen. How cool is that!

A super fun project from 2018 for a wedding at The Fields Reserve, a Wisconsin barn venue just outside of Madison.

Playing on the couple's palette of shades of blue and gold, we designed a suite that followed a folk Americana thread, one of using quilt square signage found on barns throughout the Midwest and paring it with a woodblock floral design to soften it up. This design one is one of my favorites.

What a great couple to work with! We were given the opportunity to create some projects outside of their invitation suite, and while the images may be impromptu, the outcome was just as we hoped. Some of these projects served as a test run for larger, more complex ones we were working on, enabling our production team to work on a smaller scale piece to work the bugs out before going big time.

We appreciate this opportunity so much!
