One wedding can lead you exactly where you're supposed to go.

Kaylee came to me through another wedding I had planned, and there’s something really special about that, one relationship leading to another, and one couple trusting me because they saw the experience someone they knew had with me.
The longer I do this, the more I realize that’s the kind of growth I want for Marie Nicole Weddings.
Not filling every available date on my calendar just because I can.

I want to be intentional about the couples I take on. I want the time to really get to know them, what matters to them, what they’re excited about, what stresses them out, and what they want their wedding day to actually feel like.

I want to brainstorm the tiny details together, find the right vendors for their wedding, and get to the wedding day feeling like I’m celebrating people I actually know, not simply executing another event on my calendar.

And Kaylee’s review put into words exactly what I hope that experience feels like:
“From recommending amazing vendors to helping me brainstorm every little detail, she made the entire experience feel so much less stressful. Her support, organization, and calming presence allowed me to actually enjoy my wedding day knowing everything was taken care of.”

That’s it. That’s the goal. Of course I want to create beautiful weddings, thoughtful design, gorgeous details and a day that runs exactly the way we planned it. But I also want my couples to look back and remember that they enjoyed getting there, and when the wedding day finally arrived, they could actually be present for it.

So as MNW continues to grow, I’m realizing growth doesn’t necessarily mean more. It means more intention, more personal, more connected.

Pink + green will forever have my heart. 🌸🌿

Especially when Sea Oaks is the backdrop.
For Eva's wedding, we leaned into everything that already makes this venue so beautiful, the tropical greens, soft pinks, palm details and that classic Florida feel, and carried it through the entire day.
Pink napkins, woven textures, soft garden-inspired florals, touches of green, the sweetest cocktail details and a reception room that felt like it was MADE for this color palette.

And that bow? 🎀 I mean…
This is one of those weddings I could happily design all over again. Tomorrow I'll show you the beautiful humans behind all of this. 🤍

And then there was the music. 🤍🎶

If you know me, you know music has always meant so much more to me than just something playing in the background. There are songs that can take me back to an exact moment in my life. Songs that remind me of people. Seasons. Heartbreaks. The happiest days. Versions of myself I haven't thought about in years. Music has always been woven into my memories.

So when I pictured turning 40, I knew I didn't just want music playing at my party. I wanted to feel it. I wanted a live band. I wanted to sing too loudly. I wanted to dance with the people I love. I wanted that feeling when the first few notes of a song start and suddenly nothing else in the room matters. And that's exactly what this night became.

At some point I stopped thinking about the party I had planned, stopped noticing all the little details I'd obsessed over, and just stood there taking it all in. The music. The people I love. Everyone dancing and singing and laughing. And me, standing right in the middle of it all thinking, I get to have this life.

There have been so many different versions of me over these first 40 years. So many songs attached to all of them. And if I could go back and tell any of those younger versions of myself something, I think I'd tell her: Just wait. There is so much good ahead of you.

So thank you, Jerzi Olivia Squires for giving this music-loving girl exactly what she dreamed of for this night. You didn't just play my birthday party. You became part of a memory I'll carry with me forever.

And thank you to every person who danced, sang, laughed and celebrated beside me. I couldn't have imagined a better final song for my first 40 years...

Here's to 40. And here's to the next verse. 🥂✨

The best part of turning 40? The people. 🤍

I can plan the party. I can obsess over every little detail. I can pick the flowers, the food, the music, the dress and approximately 47 other things that nobody else will ever notice. 😂

But you can't plan the feeling of looking around a room and realizing just how many chapters of your life are standing there with you.

Family. Friends. People I've known for decades. People who have watched me grow up, build businesses, fall in love, get married, change directions approximately 900 times 😂 and somehow continue to love me through every version of myself.

And after spending SO many years being the person behind the scenes, planning the party, making sure everything is perfect and watching everyone else have their moment, it was pretty special to just be the one being celebrated for once. 🥹

There were so many moments that night where I just stopped and thought, how lucky am I? Because at the end of the day, the beautiful details were just the backdrop. These people were the party. 🤍

40. ✨

I feel like I've been talking about turning 40 for months now, writing my little birthday blogs, reflecting on the last decade, thinking about business, life, the people around me, and what I actually want this next chapter to look like.

And now I'm here..

I started Marie Nicole Weddings in my 20s. I've spent more than 15 years building a business, planning hundreds of weddings, working ridiculous hours, learning things the hard way, starting over more than once, growing, changing, and pouring so much of myself into something I truly love. And somewhere along the way, life got really, really full.

There have been incredible highs and some really hard seasons. I've felt proud. I've felt exhausted. I've felt incredibly supported, and I've also had seasons where I've felt overlooked, underestimated and, if I'm being completely transparent, wondered whether there was still a place for me in an industry I've given so much of my life to.

Turning 40 has made me look at all of it a little differently. I don't want the next decade to be about proving how much I can carry. I want it to be about choosing what is actually worth carrying.

So yes, there are changes coming.

Marie Nicole Weddings isn't going anywhere, but it is evolving with me. Fewer weddings. More intentional yeses. Working with people, venues and vendors I genuinely love. New partnerships. More room for creativity, more room for my family, my marriage, my friends, and, quite frankly, more room for ME.

I've spent a lot of years building a life around my businesses. I think 40 is going to be the decade where I build my businesses around the life I actually want to live. And maybe that's what this birthday has really been about. Not getting older. Getting clearer. Clearer about who I am. Clearer about what matters. Clearer about what I want to protect. And so incredibly grateful for the people who have loved me through every version of Marie that it took to get here.

So here's to 40.

To the businesses I built, the people who helped me build them,the things I'm finally ready to let go of. To whatever I decide to create next. And to doing this next chapter a little differently. 🫶

✨ Wedding Season 2026 is officially wrapped. ✨

Now that the season is over, I finally get to start sharing some of the beautiful weddings that filled my heart.

We're starting with this one because it perfectly represents why I love what I do.This couple hired me less than FOUR WEEKS before their wedding day.

Not four months.

Four weeks.

The bride was planning from over 1,000 miles away, trying to manage vendors, logistics, and all the moving pieces that come with planning a wedding. Needless to say, stress levels were high.

After the wedding, she left a review that simply said:

"Marie saved my sanity."

And honestly? That's exactly what happened.

In less than a month, we pulled everything together, solved problems, finalized details, created a plan, and gave this couple the ability to stop stressing and start enjoying their wedding.

One of my favorite parts of being a planner isn't designing beautiful weddings.It's taking the weight off my couples' shoulders so they can actually experience this season of their lives.

This wedding was proof that even when you're running out of time, the right team can make magic happen. ❤️

And THEN they partied 🪩🔥

One thing people always remember about a wedding?
The way it felt.

And Kyra & Josh’s dance floor felt electric from the second it opened.
But here’s the thing, a packed dance floor usually doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the flow of the evening. It’s guests feeling comfortable and present. It’s the timeline moving naturally instead of dragging. It’s great music, good lighting, strong energy, and creating moments that keep people engaged instead of constantly pulling them away from the experience.

A wedding should build momentum throughout the night… and this one absolutely did.

From glow sticks and outfit changes to guests screaming lyrics across the dance floor, these people showed UP for Kyra & Josh in the best way possible.

And honestly?
This is exactly how weddings should end 🤍

Oh and her hair and makeup was still FLAWLESS at the end of the night.

And then the space came to life 🍊✨

One of my favorite parts of wedding design is creating a reception that feels like an extension of the couple, not just something “pretty,” but something guests actually experience the moment they walk into the room.

For Kyra & Josh, we leaned into warmth, texture, citrus tones, candlelight, layered details, and a tropical-inspired atmosphere that felt vibrant without losing the softness of the day.
And this is something I think couples often don’t realize during planning, beautiful wedding design is rarely about one “big” detail.

It’s the layering.
The florals mixed with fruit.
The candle glow against the wood tones.
The movement of fabric and texture.
The way the napkins, menus, chairs, and tables all quietly work together without competing.
The smallest details are usually what make a wedding feel immersive.

Every piece of this room was designed to feel welcoming, energetic, romantic, and full of life… exactly like Kyra & Josh.
And somehow the night only got better from here 🪩✨

Waterfront vows, golden light, and a calm energy you could feel the moment you arrived. The kind of ceremony that makes everything else fade away for a moment.

And here’s something I always tell my couples,
your ceremony sets the tone for everything that follows.

The timing, the lighting, how your guests feel when they arrive, how smoothly things flow… it all starts here. When this part is intentional, everything else naturally falls into place.

This is why we don’t rush it.
This is why we plan for it.
This is why it matters so much.

After 15 years of planning weddings, I’ve learned that the most beautiful celebrations aren’t about doing more… they’re about doing the right things with intention.

Chelsea and Tom's wedding was the perfect example of that.

A soft white and blue palette, thoughtful details woven throughout the design, and a setting that didn’t compete with the natural beauty around it, it simply complemented it.

From the ceremony overlooking the water to the reception space filled with warmth and conversation, every part of the day felt effortless, calm, and truly enjoyable.

And that’s always the goal 🤍
