We loved having our Vernon Middle School ACE Program visit us today! 🫶🏾🦁

It was so much fun having the students stop by, hang out, and enjoy everything the Teen Center has to offer. We love opportunities to connect with our students and our fellow Boys & Girls Club programs! ❤️

Thanks for spending the day with us, VMS ACE! We can’t wait to have y’all back! 😊

Join us for the 4th Annual LIONS ROAR HOMECOMING Tailgate on September 25, 2026!
We invite Vernon ISD school clubs, VISD-endorsed organizations, local businesses, churches, and community groups to participate. Only Vernon ISD entities may sell items, and Vernon ISD will not be providing prizes for booths.

Just like last year, we’ll set up in the horseshoe drive in front of Vernon Elementary School. Participants must supply their own materials and are responsible for cleanup. The event kicks off at 4:30 PM and closes at 6:30 PM for the 7:00 PM game kickoff.

Meet Chris Owens, one of the familiar faces on our Lion’s Den Teen Center team! 🦁

Chris is definitely no stranger to the Club! He has been part of the Boys & Girls Club of Vernon team for nearly three years and brings a genuine passion for working with youth and helping them grow.

When he’s not at the Club, you can find Chris staying involved in sports throughout our community. He umpires and referees multiple sports and also provides personal basketball training. 🏀 His experience working with young athletes, combined with the relationships he has built with our Clubbies, makes him a great addition to our Teen Center team!

We’re grateful to have Chris investing his time, energy, and talents into our teens and helping make the Lion’s Den a place where they feel like they belong.

Help us give Chris some love! 💙🦁
