Rest in peace, Diane Ladd. You will be missed. Diane came into Bella Mucci‘s with her assistant many years ago for a wedding dress. She was so lovely, lived in Ojai. We exchanged phone numbers and She would randomly stop by the store to bring me her latest book or just check on me. She would send random texts and updates on her life. I never got the pleasure of meeting her daughter, Laura Dern, but she loved her so much and talked about her every conversation. Our last text was months ago, where she talked about her husband’s stroke, Laura‘s latest Jurassic movie and her books and scripts she was writing. I will miss receiving her random texts and occasional conversations. She was such a happy person. She ended every conversation, text and salutation in the books she brought me, with “love in light, Diane”. I will miss hearing from her. Deepest ondolences to her family.
