Chopper Fest

Chopper Fest Come hang out at the Kansas City Chopper Fest on September 19 at Knuckleheads! Tickets will be available soon at www.chopperfest.com

The history of Chopperfest in Ventura California is really a snapshot of America at it's finest. Real people who think outside the box and who can translate those thoughts into visual beauty both functional and artistic. Originally the brainchild of David "Huggy Bear" Hansen, Chopperfest became much more than a showcase for futuristic Motorcycle design when famed artist David Mann died in Sept of

2004. The grief felt by the entire two wheel world found expression as those who loved and respected David lined the stage with his wife to honor him just three months after his death. The love for both the "artist" and the "lifestyle" he envisioned blended perfectly through a huge showing of his original art and an equally huge showcase of custom motorcycles. Bike Builders from across the nation came to both honor David Mann at his passing and welcome the birth of his signature event. Chopperfest is forever dedicated to the design, function and art of the motorcycle through those talented enough to create and those creative enough to appreciate talent.

Straight from the sketchbook of the Mann himself.

The new David Mann Skull Flash Tee is the first in a series of shirts we’re producing to support the David Mann Legacy Foundation.

This artwork comes from an original piece of tattoo flash David drew many, many years ago. Pulled from the archives and brought back to life, it’s pure Mann.

Straight out of the archives and back where it belongs.

This classic David Mann Long Sleeve Tee features original David Mann artwork that was first printed by the legendary Roach Studios back in the day.

With permission from Jacquie Mann, we’ve brought this piece back to life as a long sleeve, complete with David’s iconic signature running down both sleeves and his signature hit on the front chest.

This isn’t a reproduction we plan on keeping around forever. We’re doing a very limited run, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

A piece of biker art history, pulled from the past and put back on the street.

Original artwork courtesy of Jacquie Mann and the David Mann Legacy Foundation.

Join us today at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip for Chopper Day! Start your day at the School’s Out Chopper Show with our dudes from the Stoopid Chopper Show 7/11/2026 crew, then ride over to the Buffalo Chip East Gardens for the first-ever David Mann David Mann Chopper Fest Sturgis. We’ve been busting our ass getting MANN MADE, our contribution to the Motorcycles As Art exhibit ready, and we can’t wait to finally share it with everyone.

From 4:00–7:30 PM, bring your bike for our FREE ride-in chopper show, check out the MANN MADE exhibit featuring original David Mann paintings, rare prints from his early years with Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, historic photographs, and memorabilia.

DAVEY GANT from Bert Grimm Tattoo Shop will be there tattooing for us, we’ll have killer trophies by Benevolent Brutha x LONG BROTHERS.

Also, don’t miss the first drop from the David Mann Legacy Foundation. Jacquie and I didn’t want this to be just another T-shirt with David’s art on it. We pulled original tattoo flash from the archives to launch a new line highlighting his lesser-known work while helping preserve his legacy. All artwork remains the property of Jacquie Mann and is stewarded by the David Mann Legacy Foundation, ensuring it’s protected and shared properly. This is just the start. More releases are coming from the rare early Ed Roth-era years. Stop by, say hi, grab a shirt, check out the gallery, and help keep David Mann’s legacy rolling.

Many thanks to and the Buffalo Chip family for welcoming us! The Buffalo Chip bars will be pouring cold drinks and serving up some hors d’oeuvres… AND, when we’re done Megadeth takes the stage.

Safe travels, see you soon‐ Cary Brobeck

The people who curate Motorcycles As Art aren't gallery types. They're builders, shop owners, and lifelong bike people: Cary Brobeck, Kevin Dunworth, Jason Mook, Randall Noldge, Chad Turner, and Ted Smith. The other fifty one weeks of the year they're running their own businesses, building customs, and shaping what this culture looks like.
