Christmas party saturday, December 14 Venice-Nokomis Elks Lodge #1854 was really hopping last night. An amazing buffet with prime rib, turkey dinner, fish, chicken....and all the trimmings by, Cathy Ferney and crew. Entertainment by Jeff Gay. And a signature eggnog cocktail to boot.... compliments of Dennis Villancout bar manager. The room was aglow, buy Carol Ahmonds, decorating flair and never too many lights philosophy. If you weren't there, you really missed a good time. Can't wait to see what they dream up for their next event.

Dec 12 Exalted Ruler, Bruce Shelley and salvation army worker unloading food for the needy. This is part of operation gratitude, grants and lodge donations to take care of our local people. Food insecurity is a thing. And we're doing what we can. Thank you all that participated.
