Bat Mitzvah

Craig Brown of HiFi DJs ran an outstanding event for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. He met with us ahead of time, discussed details, proposed a schedule, reviewed a map of the room and coordinated with the venue.

Craig brought order to the entire event, beginning with the meal, then getting the kids dancing (and playing) and finally bringing out the adults to dance.

He brought the enthusiastic kids up to lead dances which encouraged the reserved kids join in the fun.

The venue, food and drink were all important but I did not anticipate the the crucial role of a good Master of Ceremonies to maintain the flow. HiFi DJs provided a service way beyond playing music.

Craig ran the event and I was free to enjoy the party.

Craig and Rhiannon are life-savers and fun-makers! Our daughter’s wedding and reception went perfectly thanks to High Fidelity’s coordinating and DJ’ing. We self-planned the wedding on a pretty tight schedule and many details could have fallen through the cracks. But thanks to Craig and Rhiannon’s experience and attention to detail, they brought calm to the chaos and made for an organized and fun day. In particular I appreciated Craig’s coordinating the wedding party just prior to walk-outs. After verifying details, he said some things to calm our nerves but then added a pep talk to elevate the excitement! And Rhiannon, among other things, helped get the dining room set up perfectly and cleared out afterwards. The photo booth they brought was a big hit, and the dance floor was about as full as I’ve seen at a wedding reception. They had to set up (and take down) equipment in multiple locations at the event, inside and outside, upstairs and downstairs, and even moved the photo booth from downstairs to upstairs mid-event. Thanks to Craig and Rhiannon we all were able to focus on the happiness of the occasion! We are definitely glad we put it in their capable hands.

There’s so much talent in this industry! I wanted to share my niche: Zumba. I’ve been a certified instructor for 7 years, and it’s something that sets me apart as a DJ. Schools and companies hire me specifically for Zumba—and they pay well. One high school brings me out every year, covering my time and hotel, just for a 1-hour Zumba session on a Wednesday morning. Others have booked me twice a week for the month to lead 40-minute sessions at 7:30am to start the day strong.
Providing this type of entertainment has allowed me to be in demand for all night grad parties. I went from $800 for a 3 hour grad party to $3500 for the same event.
