Hi everyone—Katie here! 🤍

For those who may not know, I’m Katie Griffin (soon to be Mrs. Ricker!), the Venue Coordinator at The Rink and the person behind all of our social media. If you’ve reached out about a tour, asked a wedding question, booked your wedding with us, or followed along with our updates, chances are you’ve talked to me! 😊

This weekend was an extra special one because I got to experience The Rink from a completely different perspective… as a bride. 🥹🩵

I had my bridal shower here surrounded by some of the most incredible women in my life, and it was honestly surreal seeing this space filled with people I love, beautiful tables and décor, food, gifts, laughter, and all the little things that make a celebration so special.

The Rink has truly been a labor of love from the very beginning. My family has poured countless hours, hard work, thought, and so much heart into building this place and bringing everything we’ve envisioned for it to life. Every detail has been so intentional. 🤍

I’ve had the privilege of giving tours, working with our couples, booking weddings, answering questions, and talking every day about what this place will look and feel like when it’s finally filled with people.

This weekend, we finally got a little glimpse of exactly that.

Seeing our ivory linens on the tables, the décor come together (thanks to my wonderful matrons of honor & Burnham Edits 🥹), the bar and Gathering Hall being used, and people celebrating in a space we’ve spent so much time dreaming about was such a special feeling. Somehow, it’s even prettier than I imagined.

And this is only the beginning!

My wedding on October 3rd will officially be The Rink’s inaugural wedding, making this season even more special. I get to experience this place as a bride first and then help so many of our couples experience their own wedding days here for years to come. 🥹🤍

I couldn’t resist sharing a few photos from my shower, but there is SO much more to come from this day and from The Rink!

It’s getting real around here, and I cannot wait for you all to see what’s next. 🤍✨

So many ways to make this space part of your wedding day. 🤍 Every detail at The Rink was thought through with your entire wedding experience in mind.

A few reasons we love The Gazebo:

1. Three swings for extra seating, relaxing, and spending a little time with your favorite people.
2. The view… duh.
3. Extra shade on those warm wedding days, plus a powerful fan and lighting.
4. Three connecting sidewalks that lead directly to the Gathering Hall & Bridal House, the Honeymoon Suite, and the Cathedral.
5. The perfect spot for photos of the newlyweds, bridal party, and everyone in between. 📸

One of our favorite ideas for The Gazebo? A receiving line after the ceremony. Stop here as newlyweds and let your loved ones say hello, give you a hug, and congratulate you as they make their way to the reception. 🥂

The original 140x50 ft. frame of Skyline Recreation has been preserved, while the property itself has been completely transformed. 🤍

The Gathering Hall—once the original skating rink—has been reimagined as the heart of The Rink. It now includes both the Bridal House and reception space, honoring the building’s history while creating something entirely new. The Bridal House offers two king-size bedrooms, a spacious getting-ready suite, a large living room, full kitchen, and two bathrooms for added comfort and convenience.

The reception space features guest restrooms, a food service area, catering prep kitchen, a 15-foot bar, a large dance floor, and a fully covered patio—designed for seamless celebration and connection.

Do you remember Skyline Recreation? 🛼✨

We’re looking for old photos from the skating rink days! Whether it’s a picture from a birthday party, a night out skating with friends, a school event, or even just a random photo taken inside, we would LOVE to see it.

If you or someone in your family has old photos tucked away in an album or box somewhere, please dig them out and send them our way! We’d love to preserve and share some of the memories that made this building so special long before its next chapter began.

And even if you don’t have photos, we’d still love to hear your stories and favorite memories from the old skating rink! 🤍
