I’m starting a new weekly shoutout series dedicated to supporting our amazing Southern Maryland small businesses! ❤️

A while back, I started a Facebook group called St. Mary's Eats. Every Friday we do a shoutout post for locals to share where they've eaten that week and what they recommend. It has been such a great way to discover hidden gems and support our community.

Now it's time to bring that same idea here—but with a twist!

As a small business owner, I know firsthand the dedication, sacrifice, and passion that go into every order, service, and product. I'm constantly inspired by the incredible entrepreneurs who make Southern Maryland such a special place.

We've been sharing our boards for 3 years, but how much do you really know about us? 👀

I'll start!

Where did the name CaliWoode Kitchen come from? The name CaliWoode is a mesh between California, MD (where we live) and Woode (our last name).
*Common misconception...my first name is Cali. Nope, its Sarah, but I understand why you make think that 🥰.
We added Kitchen to the name so it would be easy to identify as a food based company. Our dream is to someday expand to a full menu catering/ food truck business (maybe even a restaurant 🤷‍♀️). If you tasted my husband's cooking, you'd understand why!
