- VCSU Marching Band and Student Parade (5:45 Start)
- Food & Beverage Vendors (Opens at 5:30)
- Bounce House & Inflatable Obstacle Course sponsored by Smith Lumber Company and Tri-WG (5:30 - 9:00)
- Dunk Tank (6 - 8)
- Live Music by 2 Weeks Notice (6 - 9)
- Business and Organization Booths with activities including mini putt golf, plinko, yard games, gel blasters (Opens at 5:30)
- Freebies, Prizes, & Giveaways including popcorn and Ramen Noodles

The first 200 people to complete their business booth passports will receive a FREE movie pass to Valley Twin Cinema! All passports turned in will be put in for a drawing for community business gift cards!

At the onset of Summer Vikes on Central, the goal was simple: bring the college and community together in a way that felt fun, welcoming, and meaningful. We believed—then and now—that when students feel connected to the town and the people who call it home, they thrive. It’s more than a party; it’s a celebration of belonging. That first weeks on campus can set the tone for an entire college experience, and we wanted to make sure it started with connection, energy, and Viking pride

Watching students march across the footbridge into downtown is the heart of Summer Vikes on Central. It’s more than an entrance—it’s a statement: we’re in this together, campus and community

𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙪𝙨 𝙖 𝙛𝙪𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬.
Many of the local vendors and businesses you’ll see at Summer Vikes on Central are owned or run by VCSU alumni. From coffee shops to boutiques and banks to barbershops, Viking pride runs deep in downtown Valley City!

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮?
VCSU students volunteer, work part-time jobs, intern, and student-teach in the community and local schools. The community shows up in return—supporting athletics, concerts, and of course, showing up in for events like Summer Vikes on Central.

It's the sound of a marching band leading a parade of VCSU students, staff, and alumni from the VCSU Footbridge to the best night of the year at 5:45 PM on Thursday, September 11th!

Whether you're joining us to watch the parade, for the delicious food vendors, to listen to 2 Weeks Notice rock the stage, or to visit the businesses and organizations lined up Central Avenue, we can't wait to see you! 🤩

As always, FREE admission!
