How to Know What Your Event Actually Needs

The first question isn't, "What equipment do we need?"
It's, "What are we trying to accomplish?"

Every event is different, and the right production plan starts with understanding the bigger picture.

Here are four things we look at before recommending a single piece of equipment:
• Your goals. Is the event meant to educate, celebrate, inspire, or raise funds? Production should support the purpose, not distract from it.
• Your guest count. Fifty guests and five hundred guests require very different approaches to audio, lighting, video, power, and logistics.
• Your venue. Every space comes with unique opportunities and limitations. Ceiling heights, power availability, load-in access, natural light, and room acoustics all influence the final design.
• Your program. A keynote presentation, live band, awards ceremony, wedding reception, or panel discussion each have different technical requirements. The schedule drives the production plan.

The best production isn't about adding more equipment, it's about providing the right solution for your event, your venue, and your guests.

Nearly two decades of Harvest STOMP.
There are events that celebrate a moment, and there are annual events that makes a place special.
Harvest STOMP is the latter.
For nearly two decades, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers have brought the community together to celebrate harvest while supporting the people, land, and future of Napa Valley’s agricultural community.
Proceeds from this year’s event support the Napa Valley Grapegrowers’ work in education, advocacy, environmental stewardship, and grower resiliency. This year’s Fund-a-Need also benefits the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, supporting education and professional development for farmworkers and their families.
We’re proud to be part of Harvest STOMP and to help bring this annual gathering to life.
Because it’s about more than one night.
It’s about protecting Napa Valley’s working agricultural lands, supporting the people who care for them, and investing in what comes next.

We’re excited to welcome Mark Leonardi to The Lux Productions as our new Director of Business Relations! 🎉

Mark brings more than 20 years of experience in events, hospitality, and business development, along with an extensive network of relationships throughout Napa Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area, and beyond.

Throughout his career, Mark has worked across corporate events, hospitality, nonprofit organizations, conferences, incentive programs, live entertainment, and special events—building strong relationships with venues, hotels, wineries, planners, destination partners, vendors, and corporate clients.

At The Lux, Mark will focus on developing new relationships, strengthening existing partnerships, and connecting clients and industry partners with the creative and technical resources needed to produce exceptional events.

A natural connector, Mark believes the strongest relationships are built on trust, responsiveness, collaboration, and understanding what people are ultimately trying to accomplish—values that align perfectly with how we work at The Lux.
