One of the smartest things you can do in an event campaign is create small, low-pressure ways for people to engage before registration even opens.

Ask a question, invite feedback, create a waitlist, or let people weigh in on a topic. These little moments of interaction build connection, and connected people are much more likely to show up.

Momentum is rarely built all at once—it grows through small moments of investment.

Hospitality isn’t fluff. It’s strategy.

A thoughtfully hosted lunch-and-learn.
A client appreciation event that feels personal.
A mixer where people actually connect.

That’s relationship-building.
And relationships?
They grow businesses.

What event have you been meaning to host but haven’t pulled the trigger on?

Head of Security appeared to be having… a moment. 😐

Morale? Low.
Suspicion level? High.
Tongue? Slightly out in concern.

Naturally, Chief Vibe Officer Arthur stepped in for an unscheduled morale intervention. “Hey buddy… you good?”

No paperwork.
No meeting invite.
Just a little boost of good vibes and what appears to be an aggressively supportive pep talk.

Because even the toughest members of security need a reminder sometimes:
✨ You don’t have to protect the perimeter and your feelings alone.

Honestly, every workplace deserves a Chief Vibe Officer.

Behind the scenes of “time off” at Events by JFish…

You’ll find me hunting for charming cafés, ordering tea, and absolutely saying yes to cake.

Why? Because I deeply believe joy lives in the details.

Layers of flavor. A beautiful presentation. Taking an extra 30 minutes to sit instead of rush.

It reminds me why guest experience matters so much. The best moments aren’t always extravagant. Sometimes they’re simply intentional.

And yes… this cake was every bit as delightful as it looks. 🍰

Head of HR was trying to enjoy a quiet moment…
Just him, a bone, and approximately 17 unresolved employee concerns.

But Chief Vibe Officer Arthur had other plans.
Apparently, he sensed Barley was one email away from saying “per my last bark…” and stepped in with an unsolicited morale initiative.

Barley: “I’m fine.”
Arthur: supportive licking intensifies

Because sometimes workplace culture means checking on your coworkers…
and sometimes it means absolutely ignoring their request for personal space. 😌

HR may not have asked for encouragement—
but Chief Vibe Officer Arthur believes good vibes are mandatory.

My favorite kind of client?

The guy who gets to actually enjoy his own event.
He’s not checking the buffet line. Not troubleshooting AV. Not chasing vendors.

He’s building relationships.
Laughing with clients.
Actually being present.

Because that’s what he should be doing.

And I’m behind the scenes sweating the details (literally 😅).

Well, this was unexpected…
A tiny visitor stopped by Events by JFish Headquarters this morning and, after a thorough (and surprisingly calm) review, was officially granted access. 🐦✨

Head of Security Hazy monitored the situation closely.
Chief Vibe Officer Arthur declared the vibes “delightful.”
Head of HR Barley approved a temporary guest pass for “morale purposes.”

No barking.
No suspicious activity reports.
Just a tiny moment of backyard magic.

Honestly… not every visitor needs security clearance. Some just bring a little joy with them. 💛

If you want stronger attendance, start serving your audience before they ever register. Share a practical tip, introduce a helpful idea, tell a story of impact, or answer a question your attendees are already asking. When people experience value upfront, saying yes to the event feels much easier because trust has already started to form.

In many ways, this is hospitality too—helping people before they even walk through the door.
