🕰️ 🔦Throwback Thursday - St. Clair Heritage Collection Highlight🕰️ 🔦

In the 1960s, the golf course underwent a major renovation under the watchful eye of Joe Lee, the former associate of noted architect Dick Wilson. The plan, shown above, made some substantial changes to the golf course. One interesting note in the explanation was that three holes were being “condemned” by the township. Those three holes still exist over the hill as the public three-hole course.

🕰️ 🔦Throwback Thursday - St. Clair Heritage Collection Highlight🕰️🔦

The driving force behind the creation of St. Clair Country Club was Joseph Cairns Roush (1877-1947). Roush was born in Pittsburghand served in the Spanish-American War, participating in the infamous Battle of San Juan Hill (1898). He was the founder of Standard Talking Machine Company, an early record company that operated from 1901 until 1918, and later served as president of the board of commissioners of Mt. Lebanon Township. He helped bring Mt. Lebanon and Castle Shannon Golf Clubs together to form St. Clair in 1916. Roush served as the Club’s second president.

🌟 Full (Club) House Friday

Say hello to Bethany Cooper, a key part of our Accounting Department, where she manages Accounts Payable - you might’ve seen her tucked in the corner office if you wander through Administration, quietly keeping the bills paid and the Club running 😉.

Bethany has been part of the St. Clair family for a little over a year, and she’s originally from Connellsville, PA. Behind the scenes, she makes sure everything adds up so the rest of us can focus on keeping the Club moving forward.

She married her high school sweetheart, Trey, and together they just welcomed a beautiful baby girl - who will be 4 weeks old today! 💕

We’re so happy for Bethany and her growing family, and so thankful for all she does to help St. Clair run smoothly day after day. See you soon!

🌟 Full (Club) House Friday 🌟

Meet Bill Smith, our incredible Bag Room and Caddie Manager, who’s been part of the St. Clair family for an unbelievable 48 years!

Over the decades, Bill has done it all - from cart attendant and housekeeping, to night watch, the golf shop, and now leading the bag room and caddie team. His dedication and steady presence have helped make the Club feel like home for generations of members.

Outside the Club, Bill loves spending time with his 19-year-old son - cheering him on at dirt bike races and learning more about cars as his son works on his two Miatas in the garage. Next month, Bill and his wife will also celebrate 25 wonderful years together. ❤️

Thank you, Bill, for nearly five decades of dedication, hard work, and heart. We’re so grateful for you!

Meet Willie Goudy, our Purchasing Receiver, who keeps things running smoothly at St. Clair for the past two years!

Originally from The Hill District, Willie brings dedication and energy to everything he does - from keeping our shelving organized and coolers spotless to making sure every product that comes through the door is fresh and in perfect shape.

A former high school wrestler and a dedicated father and son, Willie takes pride in his work and in setting a great example for his kids. When he’s not at the Club, you can find him in the gym working out or spending quality time with his family.

Say hi to Michelle Basinski, our Assistant Dining Room Manager in À La Carte!

Michelle started at St. Clair as a server in 2018 and has grown into her leadership role, helping manage the dining room and staff to make sure every guest experience feels special. She’s the kind of person who jumps in wherever she’s needed and always brings good energy to the team.

When she’s not at the Club, Michelle’s hanging out with her daughter Luna, her dog (aka her other child 🐾), and her boyfriend Dan.

She loves going to concerts, kayaking, swimming, and writing. Oh, and if there’s steak or Italian food involved, she’s definitely not saying no to 🇮🇹🥩
