Story time: There are lulls and busy seasons with all businesses. For us there are times when we get multiple messages in a day, and sometimes it’s weeks before a chirp. Depends on tons of factors for us, but luckily we only have a few times a year it gets quiet.

Anyway.

Without fail, every time we go on vacation I get messages. It’s hilarious that I can have no inquiries for a month, but the moment we pack the car my phone rings nonstop. I’m not complaining, it’s a running joke to the point I have a small travel laptop I bring with us for invoices. Typically the worse service I have, the more people want to reach me. Without fail any dryspell we have can be cured by a vacation.

Bookings were slow after the 4th and all the contests. Besides the winners of F&TD gift certificates, complete radio silence. We are up near Georgia for a few days with family. Didn’t even finish packing the car before I had someone send me an item list for an event in August. Soon as we arrived I got an email about an event in September. Also had two messages asking if I can facilitate two different events this upcoming Saturday. Not to mention one thanksgiving booking.

If you won something with our giveaways, on the 20th I’m going to be reaching out and starting a week long drop off.

Happy summer. Happy July. Happy that I have enough service to answer emails and messages. But most happy that our family is doing well and we have these moments of discovery!

Wow, it’s done. Thank you all for participating over these last 11 days in all of our giveaways. All winners from today have been contacted, and in fact anyone that participated but was too late still won a credit to us. 

I was updating our page the other day and I realize that we had created this page July 6, 2014. What a ride it’s been and we would not be here without amazing customers as yourselves. Anyone who won a physical gift card or gift certificate will be receiving it the week of July 21. 

My favorite stories from these past few days? One was that a customer bought the book “Fat Chance” from Mike's Used Furniture and More Thrift Store and did not realize that they won. Had no idea we were doing a contest at all.
Another was hanging at the The Ice Cream Barr and seeing everyone show up. We definitely need to do that kind of contest again.
Evil Don's Wildlife, Ink. and the drawing contest was a nailbiter. It was so close.
Or when Mike from Breakfast Station #3 ended up sneaking in more $$ to that giveaway.

Last year when we did our decade anniversary 10 day giveaway, we had such fun that we decided to do it again. After talking it over with Bobbi, we’ve decided that this is going to be a yearly thing.
