The Dead of Winter Fest is a multi-city heavy metal festival founded in Arizona that benefits local y

The Dead of Winter Fest is an annual heavy metal festival which started January 2015 in Mesa, AZ that celebrates local bands from the region. A portion of proceeds from each festival go to Keep Children Rockin, a charity that benefits local children by providing monetary and equipment donations to underfunded school music programs. Over 15 schools have been impacted with over $10,000 worth of equipment and repairs since we started and we are not stopping anytime soon!

Someone donated a saxophone and we got it fixed up at Brindley's Music Center, along with snagging some boxes of reeds and a cleaning kit. Paul dropped that off last week...
..but that isn't the coolest part...

Frye Elementary actually needed more than a mere saxophone. They also needed some clarinets and trumpets (and another sax). And those showed up yesterday!

Go spread the word and tell everyone how the Phoenix heavy metal scene has been a stand for youth music education since 2015 🤘😎🤘

Remember all those ukuleles we got from Milano Music for Heritage Academy in downtown Mesa?

Got word back from the music teacher they started the ukulele unit and thanks to YOUR hard work as a heavy metal community, an entire classroom of future musicians gets to play!
