Alright, friends.. I’m about to get sappy so buckle up. I am not going to lie, it has been a rough few years. But, it also has had some AMAZING moments. When I look back at all the amazing moments, I see that I am doing what I love.

♡ I love serving my couples.
♡ I love when my camera is in my hands.
♡ I love when I work on my time.
♡ I love working with my other photographer friends & to root them on from the side line.
♡ I love creating.
♡ I love seeing other people’s love stories.
♡ I love seeing the smiles and the happy tears on people’s faces when they see their photos.
♡ I love helping my husband grow his business.
♡ I love giving back to those who have given me so much.
♡ I love spending time with my daughter.
♡ I love being reading a good book or playing a game on the couch just to relax.
♡ I love being happy…

When I look at the whole picture of my happiness, the center of it is clear as day. My family & my friends are my soul, and my craft is my art. It doesn’t matter if I’m sick as a dog, running on 2 hours of sleep, or just having a bad day - these things make it all better.

Seeing me DOING what I 💛LOVE💛.

✖ I don’t have to cry sad tears, but instead just the happy ones.
✖ I don’t get volun-told to do something.
✖ I don’t have to report to “the man” (unless it’s my husband LOL).
✖ I don’t have to please anyone (that is not my family, friends or clients).
✖ I don’t have to sacrifice energy and time away from my daughter.

All in all.. never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something or that you won’t succeed. Because (I know this sounds cliche and not original whatsoever) you can do anything you set your mind to do. And if you fail? You dust off, strut, and try again.

These were taken 1 year ago today by my bestie ❤️❤️❤️ And man, what a year a difference makes! First off, I’m definitely healthier now and more fit than I was in these photos. Secondly, I have a completely new camera set up. Thirdly (and most importantly) I feel so much more confident in myself and my craft then I did in these photos. I can’t wait for the next year.

Maybe since it’s snowing in Missouri in March, if I post pretty pictures of flowers it will make spring come faster?! Let’s do a vendor highlight!

Westwind Hills is for sure one of my favorite places. Lauren and Rob for sure made this place PERFECT for photos in every way. (It helps when a fellow photographer designed the building 😘). Lauren, Rob and everyone on the team are so welcoming and will make sure you get anything you need. Thank you everyone at Westwind Hills!!!
