We’re still reeling from the powerful keynote delivered by Rick Case during the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 CARILEC Engineering & Procurement Conference.

A great keynote sets the tone, frames the conversation, and challenges us to think bigger. And that’s exactly what Mr. Case did. He took us on a journey through the Caribbean’s energy story:
📍Evolution – from Robber Barons to Rooftop Democracy
📍Devolution – from Universal Service to Selective Infrastructure
📍Our Defining Choice – Conscious Evolution vs. Unconscious Devolution
📍And finally, a Call to Greatness - to write the next chapter together.

We were reminded of the urgent opportunity to consciously shape our grids into strategic, social infrastructure: balancing autonomy with resilience, technology with responsibility, and change with equity. An unforgettable start to an unforgettable conference!

Thank you once again to Mr. Rick Case for not just imparting his knowledge with the keynote, but throughout the conference.
