The Art Shop

I am an accountant, mom of one and a painter that primarily works in acrylics but also likes watercolor, pyrography, charcoal, pastels and mixed media mediums. My art is my own unmasking of my travels through life. I have had many experiences including riding a camel and an elephant. I was “born with a suitcase in her hand.” My art has a lot of symbolism and a story to tell behind each piece I create.

My development as an artist is rooted in my belief that there is something more to say. My inspiration is in traveling, photography of landscapes and animals along with researching how to make my art better. I am a native of Missouri and lived in Oklahoma, Florida, and various towns in Texas. I currently reside in Denton, Texas. I am a graduate from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I have traveled to 37 states in America, 4 countries and plan to see more of America in the upcoming years which inspires my artwork.

I am on the board of directors as treasurer for the Artist Enclave of Denton County who won the CARA (Community Arts Recognition Award) in 2019 for outstanding emerging artist organization by the Greater Denton Arts Council. I was an actress on the show Texas Flip and Move Season 11, Episode 13 (Gary’s Girls Mid Century Masterpiece). My art was the solo artwork and ribbon cutting ceremony for Discover Denton's Access Bank Art Alley June 2018. I was one of the 77 artists (out of 473 entries) in the “Art in the Atrium 18” art show of Frisco, Texas May-September 2019. I was one of 12 featured artists at the Ga***rd Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas selected for the Summerfest Art tour 2019 May 10th-September 2nd. I am currently an artist at the Dallas World Trade Center.
