*Meet the Officiant!: Kelly Shoenfelt*

Our awesome Kelly may hold a BBA and a MDiv, but her favorite things to hold are a baseball glove and a karaoke mic. She spends most of her life cheering on her kids in their latest life ventures, but she also enjoys hiking, travel, and Longhorn sporting events.
Kelly's approach to life is characterized by joy, curiosity, and an innate ability to connect with others. Her warmth and genuine interest in people make her a beloved figure among her colleagues, who recently voted her "Person I Most Want to Get a Beer With and Talk.”
In her day to day, she empowers young adults through sexual health education and considers sharing memes and gifs to be one of her primary love languages.

MEET THE OFFICIANT: Katrina (our newest team member)

Katrina is a teacher, writer, thinker, reader, wife, sister, daughter, friend, vegetarian, dreamer, lazy Buddhist, bird-watcher, native Texan, and lover of life. She loves to go camping with her husband and spend time in nature. She's been officiating weddings for over 12 years!

Two Truths and a Lie:
1. Katrina has traveled to all 50 states.
2. Katrina has performed with fire at AstroWorld.
3. Katrina has published a young adult novel.

MEET THE OFFICIANT: Sarah, Owner of Central Ceremonies

A native Texan, Sarah was born in Dallas, high-tailed it to Houston at 6 weeks old (well, okay, her parents moved), and landed in Austin in 1988, where she has resided ever since. She has owned Central Ceremonies since 1999, and believes that ritual work is her vocation and calling in life . . . that is to say, she loves what she does!

Sarah is a graduate of St. Agnes Academy, The University of Texas, The LBJ School of Public Affairs, and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where she was awarded the Newell Fellowship for academic and pastoral achievement. Her husband says she may not earn any more degrees.

Speaking of her husband, she’s been married to her best friend, Joe, since 1994. Together their greatest treasures are their two children and the tight-knit family they’ve created.

Sarah is a Ravenclaw who loves all sorts of mythology, historical fiction, collecting and connecting with people, hot tea, mountains, spin class and, of course, her blue Bianchi road bike.

1. Sarah has three degrees.
2. Sarah has been to Mongolia.
3. Sarah was the head of the Seminary cheerleading squad!

MEET THE OFFICIANT! We will start with our wild child- Liz. Don't let the term fool you, when it comes to officiating (leading) weddings, Liz is kind, empathetic, professional, gorgeous and incredibly insightful. Liz's day job is mother, friend, advocate, snacker, and hugger. She's had an amazing side gig of officiating weddings for 4 years now. She is the epitome of a Libra sun and loves to write, speak, and learn. And she firmly believes you should always say bless you when someone sneezes. Her idea of living is to use communication and compassion to connect to others, create a happier world.

1. Liz used to have a tongue piercing.
2. Liz was brought up on stage at New Kid on the Block concert at Astroworld in 1989.
