The Nebraska Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame is proud to announce the Specialty Wing induction of Nebraska's First sanctioned Women's Match. Mildred Burke and Ethel Meade squared off for the Women's Championship,at the City Auditorium in Omaha Nebraska, on March 31st, 1941 in front of 3500 eager fans. (More than twice the normal attendance) This would mark the first time women were licensed to wrestle in the state of Nebraska and to celebrate, Burke and Meade continued their rivalry through, Lincoln, Beatrice, and Norfolk.

At Next Level Wrestling’s past show February 15 2025 in Fremont, Nebraska at the Fremont auditorium NHOF co-director Dave Sullivan announced that Fremont‘s own Joe Stetcher will be inducted in this year‘s Nebraska Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame ceremony.
