My grandfather called me his little tinker, a reference to travelers in Ireland known for fixing things and selling their arts and crafts. I had the absolute joy of photographing this big, beautiful, love-filled family reunion on the shores of Sebago Lake in Casco, Maine. Laughter, hugs, happy chaos, and all the sunshine—this session had it all.

There’s nothing quite like capturing those first tender days with your newborn—especially in the comfort of your own home. This session in Portland was extra special as this beautiful baby girl is the first child in the family. The love, the stillness, the quiet joy—it was all there.

Lifestyle newborn sessions are all about preserving those real, fleeting moments: snuggles on the couch, tiny fingers wrapped around yours, and the beautiful chaos of new parenthood.

Think lake breezes, canoe send-offs, cozy cabins, and that wild, joyful energy that only a weekend in the woods can bring. And every now and then — there’s a furry guest who steals the whole show. 🐶💍

This sweet pup was the star of the day (besides the couple, of course!) and totally leaned into the role of ring bearer, snuggle buddy, and dance floor MVP.

This time of year is all about memory-making…
