Kai to USC and Nathan to UH (University of Hawaii). We are so proud of them! Not only do we make the finest ice but we also produce the finest college students. 🌈 sighting! Today, we were at Girl Scout Troop bridging event (Brownies to Juniors). A parent took these photos. I questioned if they used any filter and they said “no”. This gives new meaning to our “Rainbow Shave Ice”. We were blessed 🙏🏽 to serve these young ladies and brought good luck for their new journey. Spreading aloha with our shave ice…..

Learned something new today. Our clients and their guests were from India. They brought out a couple of their own syrups popular in their native country. Kachie Karey is their mango flavor. Kala Khatta is a dark purple, sweet tangy flavor made from the fruit of the blackberry(jamun) bush.

New flavor! UBE!

Ube is a purple yam originally from the Philippines. It’s essentially a bright purple sweet potato with an even sweeter, more mellow taste than its orange relative with a slightly nutty, vanilla taste. It’s popularly used in desserts in Filipino cuisine.
