Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts For over 100 years the BCPA has been the cornerstone for arts & entertainment for Bloomington-Normal and all of Central Illinois.

The venue brings you close to the show with its intimate setting and top level productions. The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) is located in the City’s downtown and is a platform for performing arts and entertainment in the community. With a 1,200-seat auditorium and an 11,000 square foot ballroom, the recently-restored, historic 1920 theater welcomes more than 50 touring artist

s annually and is also home to many area performing arts ensembles. The center also features an outdoor summer concert stage and is in the process of developing a community arts education facility, the Creativity Center. We join the rest of the Central Illinois music community in mourning the loss of bassist Pete Ramsey from Revel In Red.

Pete passed away two weeks ago and has left a big hole in the hearts of those that knew him. If you met Pete, you knew Pete. What you saw is what you got. Not only was he a talented musician, he was also a husband, father and friend to many.

We enjoyed having Pete on our stage in December as Revel in Red kicked off the show before Night Ranger and on our outdoor stage as the band played the June First Friday Concert on our front lawn.

To honor Pete our team turned our stage Red and put the spotlight right where Pete likely played some killer bass licks just a few short months ago.

Pete, thanks for the memories, and the music.
