Another beautiful wedding is in the books! Great group of people to work with. Loved how each guest got a lottery ticket and M&M’s as a favor. Pretty creative. The picture doesn’t do tonights sunset justice. After a little rain came through at supper, there were some interesting looking clouds and a mist covered the ground. I thought it looked kind of neat. The season is almost half over already. Time flies when you’re having fun. Congratulations to the happy couple!

After a gloomy looking start to the morning I thought we might need to set up the indoor ceremony space, but the skies cleared and it was a gorgeous day for an outdoor wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Absolutely loved all the color, the lace, the florals- everything about this weekends’ wedding was special. The music moved outside later in the evening and everyone danced in the moonlight. Congratulations to the happy couple and their families!

There was quite the storm here last night! The benches tipped over and 1 patio table was a casualty but through last nights storm and probably hundreds of others over the years, that big old oak stood tall and wide and strong. Barely lost a leaf. The strength of that tree, here on this land since the Civil War, always impresses me.

Today was a scorcher but that wind helped a lot! It was actually quite nice sitting in the shade sipping a cool drink. With all fans on high and plenty of ice on the drinks, it turned out to be a beautiful day with lots of family and friends having a great time celebrating this wonderful couple. Happy life to you both!!

What a great day for a wedding! This bride had so many unique ideas- from their cooler guest book to their arch, photo stands and floral displays - it all came together beautifully. And everyone loved their grasshopper ice cream dessert too . The dance floor was full all night and their final dance on the deck was watched by family and friends on the ground. A beautiful way to end the evening. Congratulations you two!!

I’m taking a little break from the wedding barn today to promote Wisconsin Agritourism with WATA and check out Classic Green in West Bend. There is green as far as the eye can see! Putt putts, lawn tractors, toys, little farm set ups, and big John Deere’s of all shapes and sizes and other kinds of equipment. The show is going on all weekend so take a little time to see it all! Even if you’re not a John Deere fanatic, there’s some very interesting stuff! From there it’s a short trip over to Beaver Dam to see all the peonies at Ovans peony farm where there’s a weekend peony festival in progress. The rain is holding off and it’s a beautiful day to take a ride!

They say a little rain is good luck on your wedding day! No worries though- our indoor ceremony space was ready and the photographers loved how it looked. Such a pretty little wedding and such nice people. Best of luck to this happy couple!

If this weather keeps up, I’ll be sitting on the zero turn well before my usual May 1 initial mowing day of past years. Even the tulips are up already! It’s still cold inside the barn but I’ve put out a few spring decorations and I’m ready for tours. There’s a few 2026 dates still open so check us out. And for anyone considering having an N/A wedding, have I got a deal for you!
