Whether it be a brand new baby that has just been welcomed into the world, a melt my heart little face, the beginning of a life together and the list goes on and on. I love that every person will have the memory of a photograph to share with special people in their lives down the road. It's something that can never be recaptured.

I have pretty much stopped posting on social media regularly. Honestly, I am not even sure people see it anymore and it's time consuming where I can use my time in other ways that is valuable for customers UNLESS someone asks me to specifically. If that's a request, I don't mind at all. I will do big dumps of sessions when things are slow and I think about it just so you know I am still here, still love this and still love the people that let me be a part of their world.

Mom specifically asked for a sneak so I am on it.

This is #4 of 5. I have watched up close and also far away as each kiddo became part of this world and spread their wings through the years in different stages. I have been lucky to photograph different stages and the 3 that have finished high school. This one is right around the corner. I can't believe this one is ready. I still see him as the little kid that is stuck in my head from years ago. When there are 5 siblings, they are all different and unique. I remember K would eat, sleep and breath his time at his grandparents house and now he's headed to college. He's always been one that entertains himself living the life of brothers and late nights at the baseball field. He's kind. He's loved tennis from a young age and earned his letterman jacket doing it. He loves gaming in his free time and he's not afraid to tell his mom he loves her when I ask him to. I make every teenager do that just because mom's need to hear it from them sometimes and it's my chance to let it happen. :)

There are sessions that I value every day, but some truly take my breath away. If I ran into K, I never would have recognized him. He's changed and matured so much, but you definitely can tell he's a Donovan party of 5 sibling. It always fascinates me that 5 kids can be born from the same mom and dad and yet they all have their own looks and personalities. This guy is headed to college and I won't lie that makes me feel really old.

K, you have some incredible strengths God has given you. You are gifted with some qualities no one else has and I can't wait to see how he uses you for the future. Go make your own path and be the best you. I don't know if the Bobcats are ready for you, but I know you'll leave your mark.

It's been awhile. I am still here doing what I love, but not posting as often. I caught up some with some posts around Christmas and am back to post a few more just to show I am still here. ;)

Seniors... They are gearing up for their last semester of high school years. Parents are realizing this is the end of this stage and the new one is fast approaching. The anticipation and excitement I felt in one hand at this age and the uneasiness in another. The gift this generation has of social media and being able to see from their bed what a collage campus looks like and a lot of the ends and outs is something they don't realize is a gift. Some are still completely clueless of what they want to do and others have it all planned out. Wherever you are, it's ok. I have had some of the best seniors to photograph (along with their 4 legged buddies sometimes) over the years and this years are no different. I 've had the gift of photographing siblings of some and some are giving me the chance for the first time. That's an honor. Whether it's flying airplanes, teaching, nursing, welding, engineering...you have a gift to bring to what you choose. You made the choice to go the direction you did for a reason and you bring something special wherever you end up. Don't forget you have some great qualities. If you need me to remind you, come find me because I will!

Families.....it's one of my favorites to see them bond, grow up, change, add to. It's also a reality that sometimes, you lose some. It's the biggest gift you can give someone. Shameless plug, but gift cards are one of the best gifts to give a family or a parent. You'll never have enough pictures and you'll never regret the ones you have. I speak from experience both personally and watching others be so thankful. People change and time gets away. Kids grow up. People get added to the original core. Make it happen! It's a gift you give yourself without even knowing it sometimes.

Thanks for trusting me all these years and in the future too. I don't get on here much to post and I will try to be more consistent, but also realize that this is not what fills my cup. It's the happy families that I get to spend time with, but then come back year after year say they are still so thankful.

It's been awhile and it's been great! I have been busy capturing precious faces and sweet families and kids, I mean adults, ready for the world and some with masters that are really ready!

I get to capture families and life because people put trust in me. Some over and over and my heart skips a beat in awwwww every time someone does. There is a photographer on every corner these days and even after 17 years of doing this, I still wonder every day is this what God has for me tomorrow. I'll keep showing up as long as he keeps sending you.

It's a new year so what better way to share it and celebrate it then some of the sessions I have taken since this summer. I haven't shared them all and I will as I can. I use to do this first and I loved every minute about talking about all the great things about the people I was photographing that day, but playing the algorithm game I just can't keep trying to do. That's not why I do what I do. I've said before this is the part of my job I hate the most, besides collecting money. I do it because i love meeting, chatting, capturing, speaking life into the person(s) on the other side so that some day they realize looking back the value in what they have, are and have beside them along the way. That they are special because of who they are and who they surround themselves with.

With that said....Here's some of 2024 and when I have more time to sit and put together the rest I will do so because I truly am thankful for you, for your life that you share with me, and for the gift God continues to show me I am suppose to do.

Happy August! I hope you have had a summer that played out exactly like you needed it to whether it was doing nothing except laying around and enjoying relaxing or going and doing all the things you could.

I’ve had several contact me before summer and more recently regarding getting on my calendar. I plan to start working down the list in the next few days and next week.

I also may have an option for mini sessions possibly end of this month or beginning of Sept. If you are interested in those reach out.

This season of weather has been crazy and I feel like that’s been a recording I should have every year these days. Hopefully there’s some cooler weather and gorgeous sunshine in our future this fall!

All that to say, let me know if you aren’t on my list and want to be or have questions.

As always! Take the pictures or find someone to do it. There are so many photographers locally these days. Time isn’t guaranteed and you’ll regret what you don’t have!

I've been gone for awhile from here. Haven't exactly figured out how I want to continue to use social media for business, but for now I will pop in from time to time with just some random sessions that keep life exciting and fun and remind me why I love what I do.

I have had a season of seniors since the beginning of the year mixed in with families and a couple of babies. Thought I would share from January until now since they are the ones celebrated right now.

Seniors are reminders of a fresh start. They are leaving one phase and about to take the knowledge and go learn and adapt in a whole new phase. There's some with hopes and dreams in this group. Some have some fears and a little anticipation of what they are getting themselves into. There's all walks of life with all exciting focus on the future. Some want to go the medical route. One goes off to play football. Some are headed far away and some are staying closer to home, but far enough to do their own thing. Some have chosen engineering. Some dentistry. Some have chosen to stay here and get basics before they take on the next phase. Some have chosen to start a trade or a career right out of high school. One is a college graduate ready to take on some more. (Gig'em)

Each of these has a future. Each of these gets to decide how they will better this world. Each of these are great humans with the potential to be anything with guts to go after it and the hope to believe in themselves. There's nothing more than getting to watch people grow up and come into their own. The biggest thing I can give you is believe in yourself and live a life that represents who you want to be. There will be people that make you doubt that along the way, but knowing who you are and what you represent doesn't shake if you stand on solid ground. You can do great things and be a difference maker!

This school year is coming to a close, but the excitement is just getting started around the corner. Be the best you!

Mr. F...

Facebook let me know it's been quite awhile since I posted anything, There's been a lot of picture taking and not a lot of posting. I am trying to get back to why I do what I do. It's not about the likes and posts. It's about capturing families where they are so they have memories. It's the gift of watching them love each other and filling up my heart while doing so. It's so easy to get into the whole I need to do what they are doing and I need to keep up with them and it's exhausting. I get caught up in it sometimes and I am working to do better. I love what I do and this is why I do it for as long as God has me here. To see sweet blessings in all ages of life and to capture moments that become treasures for families.

This sweet blessing is no different. He had a rough go of it early on, but I was so blessed when mom finally let me know we can get these in. He filled up my heart with snuggles. He was a snuggler! I am always willing to take on some snuggles and reminders of how sweet a new blessing can be.

Mr. F, you have a sister and so many others that think you are pretty special!
