This handsome Katahdin ram lamb was born 11/15/2025 and is still looking for a new home.
Our original plan was to castrate him and keep him, but life had other plans. Between getting the farm ready to sell, preparing for an upcoming deployment, and juggling work, we missed the window we were comfortable with for banding. At this point, we'd rather find him a great home than rush a management decision.
His sire is our only breeding ram, and his half-brother has already been castrated, so we don't have a place for him to stay long-term.
He's healthy, growing well, and ready for his next farm. If you're looking for a non registered breeding prospect with a good temperament, send us a message.

You’re given a piece of land and told you can only have ONE:
A. A big garden
B. A pond
C. A barn full of animals
D. A huge wraparound porch
You can’t pick two. You can’t say “all of them.” Pick ONE.
I’m choosing the garden. There’s just something about being able to walk outside and grow your own food.
Now I want to know: which one are you picking, and why?

Let’s settle a debate. What is one unpopular opinion you have about farm life, gardening, or animals that would make other people gasp? I’ll go first: goats are overrated. I love mine, but my sheep are SO much easier keepers. Your turn. No judgment here, let's hear them!

What’s your most-used farm or homestead tool?
Normally, I’d say ours is the tractor. But lately? The two chainsaws have been putting in some serious work.
Tell me yours in the comments!

Last Monday, I had the privilege of officiating the wedding of Ty and Carrie. It was such a beautiful day celebrating two people choosing to build a life together. I’m so grateful they trusted me to be part of such a meaningful moment and to help make their ceremony personal to them.

Another day of work completed. We made so much progress. Thanks again to the Arteagas and Ron Swanson from church for helping today. The Ackersons and Arteagas helped a lot yesterday as well. We’ve made so much more progress than I thought we would in a weekend.
