I don’t post things like this lightly. I never want to be the person who bashes another small business, but I feel like this is something couples need to be aware of.

Garrett Santos, also known as Mr. Wedding, is a wedding officiant who serves Tennessee, Georgia, and other areas. Recently, I’ve had several couples reach out to me because they’re worried he won’t show up for their wedding. I’ve also come across reviews from couples who say he cancelled on them and then tried to avoid refunding them, including allegedly guilt-tripping them about having cancer.

Please, please do your research and be careful about who you trust with such an important part of your wedding day.

I know I’m not in everyone’s budget, and I understand that. My fees reflect my actual business expenses, the time I put into each couple, and the childcare I have to arrange to be there for your wedding. I will never claim to be the cheapest officiant around, and I’m not trying to be.

What I can tell you is that I take my commitments seriously. I have never cancelled on a couple, and I want every couple who books with me to have peace of mind knowing I will be there when they need me.

Your wedding day is too important to leave something like this to chance.

Anyone available to deliver a round bale of hay in the next couple days? I need a bale but don’t have my tractor on the land currently (it’s at the new location). Trying to avoid having to go get square bales as this is a busy week. Drop site (on the pallets) is right inside a 16ft gate unless you’re willing/able to drop in the barn. Goat/sheep quality.

Hey neighbors! If you landed on our site looking for our farm's real estate listing, we appreciate you stopping by! While the land is for sale, our officiant services are staying exactly as they are, traveling all over TN and North GA. If you aren't getting married but know a local couple looking for a stress-free, transparently priced officiant, send them our way! Word-of-mouth is our favorite way to meet new couples.

These two screenshots are a pretty good example of why we have started posting our farm sale posts without all of the information attached.

One shows the reach from Facebook’s suggested posts. The other shows the reach from our followers’ feeds without suggested views. The suggested post is our pinned post. The other is a flyer we posted with all of the farm information on it and the link.

This is also why, when people ask for the link or address, I’m messaging it to them individually instead of putting it in the comments or on the post. I’m not being rude or difficult when I ask people not to add that information publicly. I know some people genuinely think they’re helping, and others may not realize how much of a difference it makes. But it really does affect how the post is distributed and how many people actually see it.

We’re trying to get this farm in front of people who may actually know someone looking for a property like ours. The more people Facebook puts the post in front of, the better chance we have of finding that person.

We’re a military family who is just trying to get moved closer to our support system and get settled. We thought this would be done before deployment started, but we’re already two months into deployment.

We’ve contracted on land that we’d like to move to. We just need to get this place sold so we can actually get there.

So if you see one of our farm sale posts, sharing the post itself is one of the best ways you can help. And if you want the link or address, just ask me. I’m happy to send it directly.
