The Drama Group friends and family; we want to ask for your help and support for Drama Group member, Prosperity.

Prosperity is an active member of The Chicago Heights Drama Group as well as other theatre’s in the Chicagoland area but unfortunately, she is faced with restrictions on her transportation to and from rehearsals and performances as well as everyday activities.

As many of our Drama Group family knows, Prosperity is an absolute joy to work with and a great talent to have in the theatre community. She’s raising money to get a wheelchair accessible van to be able to continue her theatre career with The Drama Group and other theatres around the Chicagoland area on her own terms.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Center Box Office will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, due to forecasted severe weather conditions expected between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Forecasts indicate the potential for heavy downpours, localized flooding, strong thunderstorms, and possible tornado activity.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of our staff and patrons

Additional information regarding reopening will be communicated as conditions warrant.

Perform to Transform: Teen Intensive - Where creativity meets purpose
This one-week intensive invites young performers (ages 12–18) to discover their voice, build confidence, and explore how the performing arts can be a catalyst for change.
- Led by industry professionals, campers will:
- Develop skills in spoken word, monologues, improv, and devised work
- Learn about the business of performance
- Receive a professional headshot to jumpstart their journey

The week culminates in a live showcase performance in Sherman Hall!
August 3–7, 2026 (Mon–Fri, 9 AM – 3 PM)
Final Performance: Friday, August 7 at 6 PM
Tuition: $250 (includes camp + 2 performance tickets)

We are deeply saddened by the passing of the legendary Peabo Bryson. Peabo’s voice and music touched generations, from timeless R&B classics to songs that became part of the soundtrack of our lives. Peabo was scheduled to perform here at The Center this November, and we were so excited to welcome him to our stage. Our thoughts are with Peabo’s family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
