Chinese brides change dresses several times throughout their wedding day. As a planner, you need to plan ahead and line up entertainment and other activities for the wedding guests; in order to allow enough time for the bride to change outfits, hair and makeup without the guests getting restless or bored. It definitely takes a team of professionals to undress and dress up a bride while other professionals do her hair and makeup without getting any stains on the dresses.

In China, brides can wear as many as five dresses. Some brides have been known to wear as many as 30 ensembles.

Many modern brides change into three different outfits throughout the night: 1) a traditional white dress, 2) a traditional Chinese bridal dress for the tea ceremony (qipao), and 3) a cocktail dress for the reception and to send off the guests.

Today I got the privilege of bringing my baby boy’s vision to life! My nephew and Godson André proposed to the love of his life, the beautiful Jordan.

To make it extra special, today is my mother’s birthday (heaven is celebrating)!
