Major Park Project Update
Riverside Park β The WI DNR has notified the City team that we have been tentatively selected for a $324,500 grant to make updates to Riverside Park in 2026. The City is required to match this grant 1 to 1. The total project cost for the Phase 1 improvements will be $649,000. We have an additional $150,000 in pending grant applications submitted to other entities to assist with our match. Phase 1 improvements will include a new restroom building, reconfigured pathways, ADA kayak launch, boat ramp, fishing overlook deck, lighting, security cameras, and major changes to the layout of parking. All these improvements were included in the master plan for the park that had extensive community feedback. A new skatepark will be a part of Phase 2. We will lead a community fundraising campaign to cover the cost and host community planning meetings to come up with the skatepark design in 2026.
