10 Years 🥂🎉💕
10 years ago today, I coordinated my first wedding. Although I had been planning social and corporate events as a small business owner for years before, an opportunity to work with Erica and Dave came up and I was all in! My dear friend and previous ad agency boss mentioned that her daughter was getting married and asked if I would be interested in coordinating their wedding. I’d never done it before, but the principles of event planning were the same and so with excitement, I happily agreed. I remember the feeling afterwards… seeing the bride and groom happy, their families appreciative and I even got a shout out during speeches from the father of the bride. It felt amazing to help people and be a part of the team that created such a memorable day. From there on, one wedding led to another and aside from the unexpected 2020 shutdown, I’ve never looked back.
This opportunity was the start of a new part of my life. An unexpected chapter that rerouted my personality and allowed me to meet so many new people that would become forever friends. It pushed me in ways I never dreamed of. I had already had a successful career prior and leaving that was a leap of faith. I never thought this would manifest into what it has. Though there were days that were truly challenging, I am grateful it all worked out and I’m here on the other side. A huge thank you to Erica and Dave (and of course Moni!!) for their trust in me and happy 10 year anniversary!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I still remember your wedding day with so much happiness.
With the decade of experience comes growth, respect for those in the industry and an extreme sense of gratitude to work alongside my amazing couples!!
