Reminiscing of the last time in snowed back in December. We threw a 16th Birthday Fiesta for James, COVID style...outside in the cold. The most amazing street tacos and Mexican hot cocoa kept us warm. (Tito’s and Topo Chico for the adults.☺️) We’ve know the birthday boy since before he was born, and couldn’t be happier to help celebrate his big 16!

Sometimes the most simple details are the most beautiful. This pandemic and quarantine has me thinking of this a lot lately. 🤔 How we really don't need as much as we once thought. Hoping that when we come out of this, our priorities will be back to where they should be and we'll appreciate our simple yet incredibly full lives!!! 💗

This Easter will be different of course. Our home is the place our family would gather together to watch the kids hunt eggs and eat some of my mother's scrumptious deviled eggs and garlic cheese grits.

However, we will still be making those delicious dishes and the egg hunt will be shared with our family via Zoom.

This year we will be thankful we all have our health and the technology to keep us from feeling so far away.

As an event planner, I know that best-laid plans don't always pan out. I wanted to share my vision board for the branding shoot I was going to do in March at the gorgeous & newly renovated, Mansion. We will reschedule it for a later date but until then, I will just swoon over the inspirations. 😍

Shout out to my talented friends who did an amazing reno on the powder bath which actually is behind a secret door!🚪

Can't believe I'm in the midst of wedding season and instead of putting the final touches on my June weddings, I am busy with rescheduling them for Fall dates. Wow! Never in my career did I imagine having to do that. I guess it's just yet another experience to add to my vast array of skillsets. 😆 Thankfully, all of the vendors I am contacting to rebook are all accommodating and transferring services if they are available at no charge. That is just the right thing to do! I have heard of other vendors that are not so helpful and understanding. 😳 I do NOT get that! We are all in this together and if you don't even try to assist your clients the best you can in this very difficult situation, than what are you even doing in business. Not one of these couples want to reschedule, they are forced to. I know we will get through this and persevere. Some of us will rise up stronger and wiser. I am very much looking forward to that! In the meantime, stay healthy and enjoy this unique time you have with your families! ⁠

Whew! Creating the new branding was such a fun yet eye opening experience for me. I didn't realize exactly how much I cared about fonts, colors, and the design of my brand!! But, the ever-patient walked me through the entire process and helped me dig deep into why I do what I do and how my branding should reflect exactly that. I highly recommend miss Hayley for any new business or existing one that needs a refresh. She is an absolute DREAM to work with! ⁠
