The all new Laura Eddy Photography is here thanks to 🖤 A very exciting way to end the year and head into 2026. There was so much planning behind the brand itself that I’ve been itching to share, because it’s not meant to just look pretty (although I think Hayley did that for me too😜). Every detail was planned purposefully to reflect the heart and why behind my business, and it all feels more like “me” now.

A change is happening today over here at Laura Eddy Photography that has felt about 4 years in the making. Not literally, but specifically ever since becoming a mom, something has shifted in my work and perspective.

The journey to get here today feels like it really began when I got married. That was the first change in my life that made me look at weddings as more than just a pretty production. But then I grew up a few more years, had some children, watched loved ones pass away, and all of those moments added more and more layers to what I began to see unfold on a wedding day.

I’m not the type to write out a ton in a caption, so let’s just start with that. 4+ years of what I’ve come to realize has been incredibly impactful on how I take photographs and how I see the people in front of my lens.

And then I struggled the past year or so to decide what to do with my business.

Or really…I struggle answering how to put into words and display this new heart behind my photographs and why I work the way that I do. It’s not “new,” but it was evolving for me and I wasn’t sure how’d I’d land at a place where it would all come together.

But I think I’ve landed somewhere really great thanks to Hayley ❤️ Today is very exciting. It’s been a true labor of love and I’ve never once felt such clarity about moving forward as a photographer going into a new year.

Sweetness beyond sweetness with this couple. Mary and Philip. “Give her a big smooch!!!” was my go to at this session because their happiness after doing that gave us the biggest giggles and hugs and love. Also got to shoot a roll of film on my “new” twin lens camera (first photo was taken with that camera) and I’m kind of in love. Film is one of the things that keeps the creative spark going for me. Almost 10 years in professionally and I’m still learning and exploring new things. Thank you Lord!
