"Many Feelings Can Coexist"

My new steel sculptures, "Many Feelings Can Coexist" will be available at the Arts in the Garden show, at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, 12001 Main St, Bellevue, Saturday 25 August & Sunday 26 August. Keep the weekend free and come to the show! There will be art galore, live music, food trucks and libations. Admission and parking are free too! Hope to see you there!

A PEARLESCENT LEAF: Notice that even though this gigantic leaf was severed down the spine, it appears visually and physically reunited! It even seems to be whole and secure! But now, the leaf embodies an additional plane of nurtured allusions and memories…somewhat the same, slightly different than its life used to be. The Frame provides an illusion of stability, the leaf retains its flexibility to move in the wind, and swing to the touch…life is resilient. Two similar Pearlescent Leaf sculptures were created.94" h x 27" square. Steel tubing & plate steel frame; perforated steel sheet, flat bar & plate steel leaf; intersected by an expanded metal fabric panel. Powdercoated
