We're really looking forward to hearing some rockin' blues on Saturday night at Plaza Palomino! Black Cat Bones will hit the stage at 7 pm and play unitl 9. Looks like unseasonably cool temps for Saturday - how lucky can we get? Come out and support local bands, local merchants, and local charities by attending our Palomino Nights concert series! What a great crowd we had on Saturday for our Palomino Nights concert with Shell Shock! Although it was a bit cold for us here in Tucson, fans showed up to dance and enjoy a night out with this fun vintage rock band. Thank you to Steven Shell and his band, thanks to Plaza Palomino and its valued merchants for sponsoring the series, and thanks to all of those who attend -- you make the Palomino Nights concert series at Plaza Palomino one of the most fun, intimate, beloved outdoor music venues in town! AND - 100% of the $ we bring in from the concerts benefit a local charity - Plaza Palomino has chosen the Gospel Rescue Mission for its important mission here in Tucson and its donation transparency.

Hope to see you next month, Saturday April 19 from 7-9pm, for The Xcelerators - an all-star "gritty sophisticated blues" band. Can't wait!

Hard to believe a whole week has flown by since Plaza Palomino celebrated its 15th Annual Rodeo Days Arts Celebration! It was a fantastic day - full of ART, MUSIC, and FOOD! Rescue Me Tucson/Marana held a huge silent auction and we're looking forward to hearing what bounty their efforts were able to generate for their organization. They had many volunteers helping before and at the show, and ensured all bidders had a great experience. We also had 4 other pet adoption agencies on site with information and/or animals! Well done pet rescuers, fosters, and volunteers - we're honored to benefit these organizations.
We'd like to extend a great big thank you to all of the fine artisan vendors for participating in this annual event, many of them veterans of the Rodeo Days Arts Celebration, having happily participated year after year! THANK YOU to beautiful and talented Ballet Folklorico Tapatio dancers - the crowds made some room for these dancers and were treated with one brilliant dance after the other, thanks to the careful direction of Jose Luis Baca. Thanks to The Cochise County All Stars - their first time at a RDAC show, and what a great contribution! And thanks to Larry Armstrong's Copper Moon for your wonderful performances - I believe between Dean Armstrong's Arizona Dance Hands and Larry's Copper Moon, we've had an Armstrong band at 14 of the last 15 Rodeo Days Arts Celebrations (the first 3 shows were downtown :-)) ! Thanks Stephanie Gran for bring Frankie the hard-working pony for kids to ride, thanks to John Bujak's sound crew, and to Connie Swenson for volunteering to 'spell" the vendors, and helping to get the word out about the show. Thanks to Plaza Palomino merchants and management for supporting this and all of our events at the plaza. Thanks to The Black Top Grill food truck and all of the other vendors and helpers who made this a fantastic day! Check out these photos from our event!
