An Update On Our Official "Safe Spaces" Policy:
At our events, Public or Private, we welcome people of all kinds. Music has a unique ability to allow us to communicate, facilitate peace, and allow us to bond with one another. America is made great by its diversity and celebration of other cultures. We want everyone to feel welcome on our dancefloors.
We have had multiple potential and future clients reach out to us about needing to cancel, reschedule, or postpone events due to fear of persecution by federal law enforcement. This is unacceptable.
From Poem New Colossus, enscibed on the plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!β
This has lead to several policy changes:
1: Any Events that need to be refunded, canceled, or rescheduled due to Trump border policy changes will be done at no cost. We want your whole family at your big moment, if we can make it happen.
2: We Will Not Cooperate with federal law enforcement officials unless legally required. We will strive to work with venues that share these ideals. We will not work with venues with think pose a risk to any of their guests.
3: We will use our power as a small business to advocate for those the most at-risk. We will work with community advocates to use our skills to help provide a platform to those who desperately need it.
4: We will not be advertising on platforms that have done harm to these communities.
These policy changes will be reflected on the website soon. Please reach out to us with any questions or to make covered changes. See you on the dance floor!
