“Fall colors, family fun, and memories worth falling for!”

A beautiful fall evening at Southford Falls with Missy, Jon, and the Gorton family! New England is showing off with those gorgeous autumn colors, pumpkin spice lattes are back in season, and the kids brought enough energy to power a small city! Between the stunning scenery, the nonstop laughs, and the kids keeping everyone on their toes, this session was full of personality from beginning to end.

“Family photos are better when everyone gets to be in the picture, especially the ones with four paws.”

From their engagement to their wedding day, I’ve had the privilege of watching Leigh & Dan grow into the beautiful family they have today. And now, getting to photograph them with Macie, Callie, Axel, and of course Zyla, the family dog who has apparently been around long enough to have stories of her own, made this session even more special.

I absolutely love when I get to capture the WHOLE family, pets included. And while the kids brought plenty of fun and personality, Zyla made sure to join in for the beginning of the adventure too!

The connection between Leigh, Dan, and their kids was just splendid, with plenty of laughs, smiles, and those little moments that make family photos so much more than just standing still and saying cheese.

And what better place to let this beautiful family run, laugh, explore, and make memories than Elizabeth Park?

“Family is where the fun never gets old.”

Eleven years in the making. I’ve had the incredible privilege of watching and photographing Rachel and Filipe’s boys, Christopher and Anthony, since they were newborns. Somehow, every year they just keep getting bigger, funnier, and more fun to photograph.

This year, instead of the usual family photo where everyone walks toward me, I figured we’d change things up a little.

So we ran.

Let’s go, Soares! It’s pretty amazing watching these boys grow up in front of my camera, one session and one adventure at a time.

“Let the rain fall, let the waves crash, and let the family moments unfold.”

Renee, Mike, and their handsome boys brought so much energy and love to this beach session. A little rain, crashing high-tide waves, and plenty of laughter made for the kind of family session that feels less like a photo shoot and more like an adventure.

Sometimes the best photos happen when you simply embrace whatever the beach gives you.

We had just finished the first look with Yveson & Catie at The Blake Hotel and were heading to our second shooting location, just a short distance from the venue.

And this is your reminder: 2 minutes is plenty of time to create some great formal photos.

The key is to be patient, don’t rush, but be efficient. Most importantly, never make the bride and groom feel rushed — because that feeling will show up in the photos.

A calm couple + a focused photographer = better images.

Sometimes getting the shot means making a quick move. That’s where having a great 2nd photographer makes all the difference. I knew Joe Adams had the ceremony covered while I grabbed a completely different angle. Then back downstairs for the first kiss… and the bride & groom decided to make it epic.
