Established in 2009, The Tessie O Hooten Kelly Scholarship Fund in memory and honor of Tessie Ola Hooten Kelly. Tessie was a life-long resident of the City of Troy, Alabama, she had a great love for youth and encouraged them to be always get an education. Although she never attended a college and only completed the 10th grade, she was able to send her 4 children to college on a meager income. She also helped financially, and through donations to other to help them achieve their goal of completing college.
After her passing in 2009, Be Sincerely Yours established the Scholarship to assist students continue their education beyond high school. These scholarships are given each year to deserving students that have overcame some obstacles in completing high school. Since 2009 we have been able to award over $20,000 to deserving students.
