Krystina is also into skateboarding, so we added her local skate park location to the session!

The Wyoming wind was absolutely brutal here though, which made off camera flash pretty much impossible. So we just leaned into the hard mid day sun for her key light. This limits angles a bit, but adds a fun challenge to work with. It also saved a bit of time, which was welcome considering how cold that wind was 😅🥶

I learned that photo shoots in Wyoming can be unpredictable, and incredible!

I spotted this epic rocky overlook where Krystina could look West and be key lit by sunset, with the valley and lake in the background. The angles were all working out perfectly!

So we scrambled to get into position, and right as we were ready to shoot, a snow squall erupted around us! The wind picked up, clouds rolled in, and snow started dumping on us.

The ledge she was on was much safer than it looks from my angle, so she roughed it out for the shot, and this is what we got!

I’ll share more from this shoot soon…
